Every week, I'll be hosting special people and today, I’m thrilled to have Bella Settarra
We will be talking about the release of her new book, Ménage on Moone Mountain. Also, we will learn more what makes this extraordinary woman thrive.
Doms , Travis
Beaumont and Kent Freeman, enjoy a loving relationship on Moone Mountain.
When Travis finds a beautiful young girl, calling herself Brooke Adams,
unconscious in a ravine, both men fall for her. Having almost given up on
their dream of adding a submissive girl to their 'family' to make a ménage
relationship, Kent is primarily skeptical.
1. What inspired you to write your first book?
Ménage on Moone Mountain
(The Men of Moone Mountain #1)
Kent's worries increase when she sees him dressed in leathers and wielding a
singletail whip in his playroom. Could her fears be linked to the scars
and welts which Travis noticed on her body?
She refuses to tell them much about herself, although her nightmares and
scars are a sure indication that the girl’s in big trouble.
Terrified, Brooke rushes off, intending to leave town, but is persuaded by
one of the ranch hands to stay at the hotel for the night until the storm
passes. While Kent and Travis worry about her, and try to figure out how
to get her back, Brooke discovers more about the BDSM
lifestyle The guys find her in the local BDSM Club, where her
impression of them alters and she is obviously attracted to them. But
Kent asks questions again and they lose their chance to ask her out before the
local billionaire's son approaches her.
How can they compete with a billionaire, and is there any hope of ever
reconciling their relationship with Brooke now that she’s found someone else,
anyhow?
When it is later disclosed that Kent Freeman is the local Deputy Sheriff, it
seems like the last straw for Brooke, especially when she discovers that he has
found out about her past and the real reason she is on the run. Can she
ever trust them again? And when disaster strikes at the ranch, how can they
ever stop her from leaving town?
Adult Excerpt
“I’m going to
have that pretty pink ass of yours later,” he promised her as he came to stand
in her line of vision.
A flame seared
through her body at the thought of it, and she stared up at his gorgeous face.
As Travis unfastened her hand, Kent took his position behind her, heeling off
his boots and kicking off his Levis. He gripped her hips, keeping her firmly in
position.
She felt his
thick cock nudging at the mouth of her sopping-wet pussy, and he glided into
her. He stilled for a moment, allowing her to become accustomed to his heaving
girth before her thrust hard and long, causing her to moan deliciously.
Travis had
unzipped his fly and allowed his huge member to spring free. His cockhead gave
her a wet kiss as he neared her lips, and she licked at his juices eagerly
before devouring his massive cock in her hot mouth. Travis’s cock tasted quite
salty as she slurped and sucked at it. She swiped her tongue up and down its
lengthy shaft, staring up at his lustful face. His eyes were hooded and he
clenched his teeth, trying to maintain control of his body. With her free hand,
Brooke pumped at his column, sucking hard at the delicious pre-cum that dripped
into her welcoming mouth. She heard Travis gasp as she grabbed his hip for
support, taking every inch of his swollen cock into her burning mouth and down
her gaping throat. Luckily she had no gagging reflex and was able to take
either of her men just as they liked it, much to their untold delight.
She could feel
Kent gouging a hot trail through to her womb, his heaving thrusts conveying his
mounting passion as she pushed back against him. He released one of his hands
to tickle her clit as his vast member grazed deliciously over her sensitive
G-spot. Sensations soared with every movement he made. Her nerve endings
jangled as he pulled back and then thrust forward until his balls slapped
noisily against her.
The room
smelled of sex, sweat, and their individual scents, while the sounds of
slurping, moans, and flesh-on-flesh filled the air. Their grunts and shrieks
became louder, the mere sound a delectable aphrodisiac to one another. The fire
ripped through Brooke’s body and she screamed around Travis’s huge cock. The
vibrations at the back of her throat were enough to unhinge him, and he yelled
as he came in massive bursts, flooding her with his cream. Brooke didn’t waste
a drop of his burning nectar and swallowed greedily as it flowed down her open
throat. Kent couldn’t hold on any longer and let go with a deep guttural grunt
as his seed swamped her enticing womb. He thrust over and over as the deluge
emptied from his enormous cock.
Bella Settara
As a
youngster, Bella Settarra used to dream of becoming an author, and wrote many
tales, poems and letters.
However, as she grew up, she wasn’t able to write so much, as exams, work
and family overtook hobbies such as writing, so it looked as though her stories
were to become a thing of the past. That
was until she was very ill in March 2013, after undergoing surgery related to
cancer. While lying in a hospital bed
contemplating her life, she realized that her biggest regret never fulfilled her dream of becoming a published author. Determined to succeed and make her family –
as well as herself – proud, she resolved to write a publishable book within the
next twelve months.
In November 2013 her first novel, Last
of the Sirens, was published, and went on to become the first of a six-part
serial.
Just a month later, fate dealt her another bad hand when she was forced
to leave her day job as she could no longer cope with the ever-increasing hours
she was expected to work while struggling with ill health. Writing became her lifeline, turning a
pleasurable hobby into a fulfilling career.
Now able to once-again enjoy life, she finds that writing gives her the
freedom to work when she is able and rest when she is not. It encourages her dreams and nurtures her
ambitions. She also has more time for
her family, and for her love of driving around the English countryside in her
open-top car, listening to country music.
Bella’s imagination knows no bounds, and she has gone from writing a
mythical series, Sirens and Sailors,
to writing about cowboys and a current work in progress about a group of
restaurant staff. Her novels include MM,
MF, MFM and MMF as well as various elements of BDSM, but, most importantly,
they are about love.
She hopes that
you enjoy reading her stories as much as she enjoys writing them, and loves to
hear from her readers via her blog, email or social media.
As usual, Let us start our chat by asking her some personal questions. I promise to be gentle with you. Well! I’ll try and do my best.
1. What inspired you to write your first book?
I always wanted to write
but it wasn’t until I was very ill that I decided to get on and do it. I attended an event called ‘Smut by the Sea’
which was for authors and readers of erotic fiction. At the time I didn’t think I would ever write
Erotic Romance, but felt very encouraged by the people I met there. On my way home (a 4-hour journey) I was
reading the book of the event and wondered what I would have written if I had
been one of the authors asked to write a short, sexy story set in or around the
sea. Just for fun, I started to write a
story which became ‘Last of the Sirens’.
It was too long for a short story (abour 34k words) and I was so pleased
with it that I took a chance and got an author friend to look it over. She liked it and told me to send it to a
publisher. I did, and the book, ‘Last of
the Sirens’ got published and became the first of a 6-part series called
‘Sirens and Sailors’.
2.
Do you see writing as a career?
Yes. I had to give up my day job last Christmas
due to increasing working hours and ill health, so I now write full-time. ‘Menage on Moone Mountain’ is my 7th
book to be published, and I have another, ‘Dallas at Midnight’ being released
on 30th September. I have
also had another book ‘The Red-Light Wrangler’ accepted by the publisher. This will be the second in ‘The Men of Moone
Mountain’ series. I also have several
more works in progress. I love writing
and I hope this comes across in my books.
3.
This book is the first in a
series. Do
you prefer to write single title or series? Why?
I love to write my books in
a series so that I can really develop my characters over time. I also become very attached to some of them
and find it hard to let go, so it’s nice to have them popping in and out of
different books. ‘Sirens and Sailors’ was a serial, so the books really needed
to be read in order to understand the story fully, but ‘The Men of Moone
Mountain’ is a series, so each book can be read as a stand-alone novel. I am currently writing a one-off book,
though, which is a Christmas story.
4.
Give us some insight into your
main character. What makes him/her special?
The heroine,
Brooke, has been a real victim in the past and has now had enough. While running away from her assailant she
meets and falls in love with two gorgeous cowboys. Her love for them and theirs for her make her
stronger and give her the courage and determination to fight back. I hope that a lot of readers will identify
with her – my eldest sister and I refer to each other as ‘tea-bags’ because of
a saying “a woman is like a tea-bag – it’s not until she gets into really hot
water that you find out just how strong she is!”
5.
Is there a message in your
novel you hope to convey to your readers?
Hmm, I think
I’d like them to make their own minds up about that one. J
6.
I love a good conflict. What draws your main characters to
each other and keeps them apart?
Brooke ticks
all of their boxes so they are instantly attracted to her. Brooke falls for the guys as they are so
kind, caring and gorgeous (of course!) but she is on the run and knows she
can’t afford to get involved with anyone as she has to leave. Kent is curious about her and asks a lot of
questions, which causes friction between them.
Travis is outwardly flirtatious but has an inkling that something is not
quite right with her and tries to get her to stick around for a while so they
can get to the bottom of it.
7.
How did you come up with the
title?
As you may have
guessed by now, I love alliteration! I
came up with the setting, Moone Mountain as I thought it sounded right for my
characters. (I don’t think a place
called ‘Moone Mountain’ exists, although I think there is a ‘Moon Mountain’
somewhere in Ireland. I’d love to know
if it is a real place as I’d want to go there!)
The title ‘Menage on Moone Mountain’ was an obvious one, as it was a
ménage story. I promise the rest of the
series won’t be full of ‘M’s, though.
8.
What’s your favorite sub-genre (contemporary, sci-fi, etc.)
to write? To read?
I love Cowboy Romances and have read loads of them. I had been a little reticent to try to write
one before as I live in Britain, so cowboys and ranches don’t exist over here
(although I do live on a farm), but when it was pointed out to me that authors
who write sci-fi rarely go into space, and those who write about vampires don’t
usually get to meet any, I thought it would be worth having a go! I love and respect the American Western
lifestyle and did a lot of research to try to get the book as authentic and
plausible as possible. I apologize if I
got anything wrong, but hope that readers will accept that it is supposed to be
a romantic story first and foremost.
9.
I usually get plot ideas in the shower and while driving.
When/where does inspiration strike you?
That’s an easy one – in the middle of the night! My husband snores quite badly due to a
medical problem, so I’m often kept awake in the wee small hours, and while I
lie thinking I often get some good ideas.
I keep a notepad by the bed and a tiny light so I don’t disturb him
while I scribble down my thoughts.
10.
What new stories are you working on?
Apart from the Christmas
story I mentioned earlier, which is another cowboy one, I’m currently editing
the third book in ‘The Men of Moone Mountain’ series, and am part-way through
the fourth. I’ve also written the first
in a series set in the restaurant attached to a swanky BDSM club (not a cowboy
one), but I’m just tweaking that one ready for my pre-submission edits. Never a dull moment! J

ReplyDeleteGreaty blog and enjoyed the interview. It's always fascinating the way writers become writers. I slept with my tutor at college, he gave me a copy of Anais Nin's A Spy in the House of Love - and I was hooked. Here's my thoughts: http://chloethurlow.com/2013/08/that-obscure-object-of-desire/
