Glamrock band around. Ghost Heart is the biggest guitarist in the world and has
just become available. He is the hottest thing Sky has ever seen, but he’s
straight.
The sexual tension between Sky and Ghost ignites, until Sky sees a
memorial tattoo on Ghost’s back with the name of his first love, Mitch, on it.
Sky fights to find way past the guilt he feels over what he did to
Mitch all those years ago, so that he can move forward and finally find some
happiness. He hopes that happiness comes with Ghost. But Ghost doesn’t believe

As usual, Let us start our chat by asking
her some personal questions. I promise to be gentle with you. Well! I’ll try
and do my best.
Here’s Maggie,
Q: Welcome Maggie, I’m so glad you could be
us.
A: Hi Mya, it’s so nice to be here. Thank
you for inviting me.
Q: Can you tell us a little about yourself?
Are you married or do you have kids?
A: I am married. My husband and I have been
together for it will be 25 years this month. We have been married for almost 17
of those, and we have 4 children, 2 girls and 2 boys.
Q: did you find it hard to start writing?
A: I started writing very young, but never
had the guts to show my stories to anyone. My teenage son and I love books and
talk about them all the time. He mentioned how he wants to be an author when he
grows up and I told him about my writing. He encouraged me to finally write a
new story and submit it. That was really hard. Finding the courage to finally
put myself out there and open myself up for rejection, but I figured I needed
to set the example for him.
Q: What one word would you use to describe
yourself?
A: Wow, that’s hard. I would have to say,
stubborn, but don’t let my husband hear that.
Q: A little bird told me that you enjoy
reading. Is it true?
A; I can’t read enough. There is not enough
time in a day for all the books I want to read. Last year I read over 350
books. That breaks down to almost one a day. It’s only April and I have already
read 142 books this year.
Q: what is your favorite Book and why?
A: That is a really hard question. I don’t
know if I can choose just one. One that has really stuck with me for years and
I have read about a dozen times is Flashback by Dan Simmons. It’s very
provocative. Its set in the future of the United States and most of the
population is hooked on a drug that will bring them back to a good memory in
their life. Every time I read it, I get chills because I can see a truth to the
story. There are too many people on too many drugs for one reason or another
and it seems like a lot of people want instant everything these days, including
instant gratification, so I can see this drug, if it were real, being very
popular. This book makes me really think about my future as well as what the
future holds for my kids and grand-children .
Q: Do you have pets? If so, how many?
A:
Yes, I have one dog. She’s a hound and she’s my little mush.
Q: How did you get started writing (genre of
your book) story?
A: I never even knew this genre existed
until about two and a half years ago. I got a book on my Kindle and started
reading and it took me until chapter 4 before I realized they were talking
about two men. I loved it. I bought another that was the first book in The Lost
Shifter series by Stephani Hecht and I was hooked. Then my own stories started
to flow in my head like never before. And my characters where all men. I fell
in love with the genre. My latest book, The Beast Within actually came to me
while watching Adam Lambert’s Glamnation Tour video. I love music, it’s a huge
part of my life and I always thought about writing something with a rock band.
When I saw Adam Lambert kiss his bass guitarist right there on stage in front
of thousands of people, I started thinking. I know the guy is straight, but he
didn’t seem to mind. It was all an act for the audience. I thought, now that
could make for a good book. And The Beast Within was born.
Q: Your book, Maggie. Can you tell us a bit about your
main characters?
A: The Beast Within is about Sky Taylor and
Ghost Heart. When Sky was, 18 he and his brother and Sky’s boyfriend, the love
of his life Mitch Fox, are in a band together and trying to get a record deal.
The deal comes through, but they only want Sky. So he has to choose between the
love of his life and his brother or all his dreams coming true. Well Sky is
young and naïve, and he chooses stardom. But he also betrays Mitch by sleeping
with the record exec. Fast forward 7 years and Sky is at the top of the charts,
but his Glamrock band needs a new lead guitarist. In walks the hottest
guitarist in the world. He is super talented and gorgeous as hell, but he’s
straight. One day Sky sees a tattoo on Ghost’s back that is a memorial to his ex-love
Mitch and his world crashes down around him when he finds out that Mitch killed
himself after what Sky had done to him. The chemistry between Ghost and Sky is
hot from their first meeting, but Sky struggles with moving forward in his life
after what he did to Mitch. Ghost knows all about what Sky did and he has
demons of his own that stop him from wanting anything more than a one night
stand. But he can’t deny the pull to Sky and the two fight with everything they
have to not give in to their growing attraction.
